Questions we get
Can we set different entitlements by job grade?
Yes. Common Malaysian setups: 14 days for executives, 18 for managers, 21 for senior management. Configure once, apply per grade. Employees auto-move between brackets when promoted.
How does MC with MC slip work?
Employees submit MC with a photo of the MC slip attached. HR verifies and approves. The system tracks MC against the statutory entitlement (14/18/22 days based on years of service) and surfaces patterns — serial Monday MCs, for example.
Does it handle replacement leave?
Yes. Working on a public holiday or rest day auto-creates a replacement leave entitlement. Replacement leave has its own expiry rule (commonly 3 months) and shows up as a separate balance.
Can leave be applied for half-day or hour-based?
Yes. Half-day AM, half-day PM, and hour-based leave (e.g. 2 hours for a doctor visit) are all supported. Some companies restrict hour-based leave to managers; configure per leave type.
What about multi-company leave policies?
Each Sdn Bhd entity in your group can have its own leave policy. Group HR sees the aggregate; entity HR sees their own. Useful for groups where the manufacturing arm and the head office have different leave rules.
Can we restrict leave during certain periods?
Yes. Block-out periods (year-end audits, peak season, product launches) can be set per department. Employees can’t apply leave that falls in a block-out without HOD override.
