HR New Year Resolutions, Apa Tu?
HR resolutions are basically your work goals for improving HR processes in the new year. Sama macam personal resolutions (nak kurus la, nak travel la…), but ni untuk kerja. Let’s make 2024 lebih teratur, senang dan follow undang-undang kerajaan!
Checklist: HR New Year Resolution Every SME Should Have
- Update Employee Handbook: Employment Act 1955 update in Jan 2023 dah cover semua pekerja, tak kira gaji. Pastikan semua info pasal cuti, MC (Medical Certificate), overtime sudah ikut akta baru.
- Automate Leave Application: Takkan nak kira manual percutian lagi kan? Sekarang semua boleh online—biar system auto kira annual leave (minima 8-16 hari setahun ikut tahun kerja), MC (14 hari kalau bawah 2 tahun kerja) dan public holiday (minima 11 hari wajib).
- Plan Public Holidays Properly: Ada 5 hari wajib: National Day, Agong Birthday, Malaysia Day, Labour Day, dan Ruler/Governor’s Birthday (atau FT Day). Lagi 6, majikan boleh pilih. Kalau kerja on that day, ikut Section 60D – wajib bagi replacement atau extra wages.
- Staff Wellbeing & Gen Z: 2024, ramai Gen Z masuk office. Diorang suka hybrid work, flexi hours & mental health. Kenal HRDCorp grant? Boleh apply untuk training staff, especially yang baru-baru ni.
- Embrace HR Digitalisation: Cuba guna HR software yang boleh simpan file MC, cuti, payslip. Jimat masa, kurang silap, audit lagi senang.
Tips Untuk Buat HR Resolutions Jadi Kenyataan
- Set Target Bulanan: Contoh, January review cuti policy, February automate MC, March update payroll… jangan buat semua sekali harung! Santai, kopi satu.
- Survey Staff: Tanya staff apa HR processes yang menyusahkan. Maybe Gen Z team nak e-claim, senior staff suka manual. Compromise sikit, mix and match.
- Train & Communicate: Bila ada perubahan (eg: HR system baru), buat training. Ajak semua, jangan harap staff dapat belajar sendiri. Faham rules baru = kerja jalan lancar.
