For manufacturing & 24/7 operations

Stacked shift OT, calculated right the first time.

Weekday 1.5×, rest day 2.0×, public holiday 3.0× — often on the same worker, in the same cycle, on top of night differential and foreign-worker levy. Pandahrms runs all of it in one payroll batch.

The problem

A production line does not stop for month-end. Shifts rotate, overtime stacks, and the rules interact: a rest-day shift that runs into a public holiday is not one multiplier, it is three decisions. Ordinary HR software cannot express that, so the work lands back on your HR team as a spreadsheet — every single cycle.

HR rebuilds the OT calculation by hand each month-end
One missed multiplier means a wrong payslip and a shop-floor dispute
Rotating and night shifts break the roster the payroll depends on
Foreign-worker levy is tracked in a separate file from payroll

Four OT rate multipliers stacked in the correct order — calculated in one batch run, not by hand.

A real example from a manufacturing cycle. One batch run, four rate multipliers.

Questions buyers ask before signing

Can you handle a rest day that falls on a public holiday?

Yes. The rates are applied in the order your policy defines, on the same worker in the same cycle. You configure the rule once and every batch after that follows it.

We already own biometric terminals. Do we have to replace them?

No. Pandahrms reads 17 clock-file formats and works directly with ZKTeco eFace and Senseface, FingerTec Ingress and MB20. Bring your existing terminals to the demo and we will tell you straight away whether they are supported.

How are night shifts that cross midnight treated?

The shift, not the calendar day, defines the working period. Hours are attributed to the shift that started them, so a 10pm–7am shift does not split into two part-days.

Can we cost labour to a production line or job?

Yes, with the Project Costing module. It sits on the same employee record, so hours captured for payroll also carry the job or cost centre — no second entry.

What about foreign-worker levy and permit expiry?

Both are tracked per worker, with alerts before expiry rather than after. Levy is recorded by nationality and reconciled against the payroll run.
